Product Description
Coleman Exponent Tasman sleeping bags bridge the gap between comfort and warmth by combining the roominess of a rectangular bag with the performance of a mummy bag. Measuring 90″ long by 36″ wide, the Tasman X 0 keeps you comfortable down to zero degrees. The Tasman sleeping bag has a polyester diamond ripstop shell and feature the PerformX liner with moisture-wicking technology and antimicrobial treatment to inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria. The fill is Coletherm synthetic fiber, applied in a double-batt, offset-quilt construction to maximize warmth. Ground-level side seams, full-length insulated draft tubes and insulated zipper gussets all work to keep warm air in and cold air out. The fully-sculpted hood features Coleman’s innovative “Which One” cinch cords for easy hood adjustment: one for adjusting the top of the hood, and another for adjusting the bottom. The two cords are colored and shaped differently, so it’s easy to adjust the one you want, even in the dark. For comfort, the Tasman sleeping bag has a roomy, oval-shaped foot section. A 2-way locking zipper allows ventilation of the foot area. Four-way compression stuff sack included. Pack weight: 6 pounds 8 ounces. Pack size: 12″x18″.

  1. This sleeping bag exceeded my expectations by far. Not only is it a very comfortable sleeping bag to sleep in, but it’s warming ability is AWESOME!

In truth, I wish it were just a bit roomier (I’m a tall, hefty guy), but then maybe it wouldn’t be so warm either. The zipper works well, and completely seals out the cold because of a rather generous puffy zipper seal all along it’s length.

The only draw back that I’ve found is that the side zipper only goes down approximately 4/5th of the way — not completely. This means, of course, that the foot pocket is completely sealed all the way around (no zipper seams), but it does make one exercise a bit extra care getting into and out of the bag.

I would gladly recommend this sleeping bag to anyone who wants to stay really warm and cozy on those cold nights. I WOULD NOT recommend it’s use for summer camping trips — it will be too warm.

I hope that this review helps you decide if this bag is right for you!

  2. A little on the heavy side for backpacking (6+lbs) but very cozy and well made. I use the MicroNight Bivy sack with it and have had excellent results. Great bag.
